The article offers an interpretation of Alexander Pushkin’s ode «To the Slanderers of Russia» in the context of the analysis of French mass media. As a part of the research work, the comparative analysis of the various articles in the French newspapers and of the poem was performed. The sources used by the poet in writing the work are established, they seem to prove its multidimensional and multidirectional character.
