The article analyzes V. V. Mayakovsky’s approach to notebooks entries. His Notebook № 55 (Sverdlovsk) is published for the first time. The author studies draft versions and revisions of the poems "Yekaterinburg — Sverdlovsk", "Ten-Year Song", "The Emperor", "Heartfelt Request".
