The article presents a letter by V. A. Zhukovsky to A. A. Voeykova, his beloved niece, wife of the poet and journalist A. F. Voeykov. It concerns a turbulent period of her life, associated with problems in family life, and with Alexander Turgenev, who was passionately in love with her. The letter demonstrates not only Zhukovsky’s well-known tender attitude to Voeykova and unceasing care for her, but also a critical outlook on certain traits of her personality and behavior
