In the article, the author offers insights into the manuscript tradition of the "Canon to our Reverend and God-Bearing Fathers Anthony and Theodosius of the Kiev Caves", one of the several hymnographic books by Dimitry of Rostov, provides the data regarding the «patron» — Ivan Fedorov Protodiakonov, a merchant from Veliky Ustyug, and, drawing from the archival sources, defi nes more exactly the location of the church for which the Canon was written, as well as the time of its writing, thereby proving the ascription of the artifact to Dimitry of Rostov.
