Archpriest Pyotr Turchaninov. Spiritual Composer and Harmonizer of Ancient Church Chants

В данном исследовании автором будет представлена биография и рассмотрено творческое наследие протоиерея, выдающегося регента и русского композитора, Петра Ивановича Турчанинова. На протяжении всей своей долгой жизни его постоянно постигали лишения и несчастия. Только в Севске, и то, ненадолго, он смог почувствовать заботу и поддержку. Он выбрал нелегкий путь священнического служения, а потому, очень часто оказывался жертвой зависти, лжи и несправедливости. Тем не менее, его творчество наполнено светлым чувством искреннего покаяния, подлинной любовью и торжеством милосердия. Он сумел не только вернуть церковным песнопениям стройность и былую красоту одноголосного пения, но и сказать новое слово в истории русских духовных произведений. In this study, the author will present the biography and consider the creative legacy of Archpriest, outstanding Regent and Russian composer, Pyotr Ivanovich Turchaninov. Throughout his long life, he was constantly plagued by hardships and misfortunes. Only in Sevsk, and then, for a short time, he was able to feel care and support. He chose the difficult path of priestly service, and therefore, very often found himself the victim of envy, lies and injustice. Nevertheless, his work is filled with a bright sense of sincere repentance, genuine love and the triumph of mercy. He managed not only to restore the harmony and beauty of one-voice singing to Church chants, but also to say a new word in the history of Russian spiritual works.
