In the article, we seek get the thinking of the Paul Lafargue, in his work “ The right to be lazy” comes to question by proposing a different perspective, a new direction to human life that will only be achieved with the end of the exploitation of the individual by the individual. The objective of this work is to verify the contemporaneity of Lafargue's writings, comparing whether his analyzes are consistent with the reality of workers in the 21st century.
