The effect on the process of oxidation of the oil tar of initiating additive - ethyl benzene was studied. It is shown, that ethyl - benzene provides being oxidized petroleum product with additional active centers free radicals. This speeds up the oxidation process, and has a positive effect on the properties of the finish product bitumen.
