It is shown that Upper Cenomanian deposits are considered among the main productive formations for development for gas production. These deposits are presented by poor cemented reservoirs. The problem of Cenomanian wells operation is said to be related with sand production and formation of sand plugs in the borehole which leads to the flow rate decline. According to the authors, realizing certain geological and engineering actions aimed at removing the above damages will enable to maintain the stability of the bottomhole formation zone and prevent a gas production decline. It is mentioned that at present to control sand production a number of physicochemical, mechanical methods or their combinations are applied.
