The article presents a method developed for modeling the petroleum complex pumping units failure rate and reliability based on Markoff stochastic processes. A procedure is offered for determination of the pump unit’s probabilistic condition based on Markoff models. The ability of using Markoff models as a tool necessary for organizing and implementing the pumps repair and maintenance is demonstrated. The perspectives of the developed methodology use are described.
