This paper seeks to address and define the content of such notions as “presentation”, “methodo-logical information” and “presentation of methodological information” while taking into consideration the laws of dialectics (namely the law of the unity and tension of opposites, the law of the negation of negation and the law of the transformation of quantity to quality), synergetics (laws of formation and self-organization of open systems, e.g., information as a whole) and pedagogical psychology (laws of information acquisition). Results. It is proved that, according to the rules of the abovementioned sciences, a presentation of methodologi-cal information can only be effective as long as its subject is presented in a clear manner, is of immediate relevance to the listeners, is covered fully and builds on the audi-ence’s existing knowledge. The points above are accom-panied by examples related to foreign language teaching and the history of language teaching methods and ap-proaches, which represent certain categories of methodo-logical information. The article also defines indicators of presentation’s success and describes them as respective changes in the professional behavior of a foreign language teacher. Originality. Previous works cited in this article dealt with defining what a presentation is from the point of view of dialectics and synergetics. This article narrows the research down to presentation of methodological in-formation in particular. Conclusions. The outcomes of this research enable fur-ther work on preparing master’s philology students to deliver successful presentations and share their profes-sional expertise at international teaching methodology conferences.
