Inscenizowanie bohaterów. Teatry ludowe i kult bohaterów na przełomie XIX i XX wieku

This article deals with the phenomenon of cultural performances in honor of great heroes,which created and maintained a patriotic tradition in Poland at the turn of the century. These performancesare presented as a result of a political project that was conceived as a didactic and persuasiveaction. Their goal was to try and create a new society, a new community united by the idea of a freeand strong Poland.
