This article is devoted to consideration of features of the lexicographic descriptionof religious lexicon in The unabridged Church Slavonic dictionary (1899-1900) archpriestsof Grigory Dyachenko who became one of the last fundamental lexicographiccompositions of the Synod period in Russia. This dictionary has not been an objectof scientific research thus far. The main circle of lexicographic sources which attractedG. Dyachenko to the description of confessional lexicon is established. Additionally,the maintenance of a religious slovnik, volume of the submitted linguistic informationand the methods of historical, etymological and semantic analyses used by the originatorat the lexicographic description of religious lexicon are analyzed.
