This article will focus on independent work as a multifunctional aspect of the process of teaching bachelor students in a foreign language. The development of independence and activity is the main task of the teacher in teaching students. It is this task that is set before the teacher one of the first, and is the most significant in the process of teaching a foreign language. The organization of independent work of students helps to develop efficiency in learning, mastering the system of skills, knowledge, development of abilities in mental and physical labor. The article reveals the essence and content of aspects of independent work, namely the skills of selforganization and self-control of bachelor students of philological specialties in a foreign language
