The article examines the record wall in speed climbing from the point of view of various characteristics: biomechanical, physiological and tactical. The record wall is divided into three parts according to the specifics of the performed technical actions and the possible order of their application. The boundaries of the reaction of the cardiovascular system to competitive activity were determined depending on the pace of climbing. The international competitions for 2019 were analyzed and conclusions were drawn about the priorities in choosing tactical decisions during the competitive season.
