At the present stage of development of society, the influence of gender factors on the choice of profession has not been studied enough. In this regard, there is a need to consider the stated problem in more detail, using a comprehensive psychodiagnostics based on the identification of psychological qualities of schoolchildren, their gender stereotypes in relation to the chosen career orientations. The study studied the sociotype of adolescents, which was used to determine the gender qualities embedded in the personality structure. Students, regardless of their biological gender, were divided into four groups based on gender characteristics: with pronounced femininity and mild femininity, with pronounced masculinity and mild masculinity. Then they were tested to determine their professional preferences. Career orientations chosen by boys and girls in each group were subjected to statistical analysis and comparison. The study found that gender stereotypes, as well as gender characteristics, influence students ' choice of professional path. Thus, young men, despite their feminine or masculine qualities in the structure of the sociotype, strive to take a worthy place in life, move up the career ladder, and prefer leading and significant positions in the organization. Girls, on the contrary, despite the feminine or masculine qualities in the structure of the sociotype, choose professions that require positive and equal interaction with all employees, they are ready for good-hearted communication, mutual assistance, but do not seek promotion to leading positions in the organization. Thus, the feminine qualities in the structure of the personality of young men and masculine qualities in the structure of the personality of girls are rejected by them under the influence of gender stereotypes, which leads to insufficient disclosure of individual abilities and properties and makes it difficult to fully realize their Self in a rapidly changing world. The task of a psychologist when consulting students is to take into account both signs, so that the profession chosen in the future most fully reveals the social and personal potential of students.
