The article proposes localization and explanation of two western cantons of Sogd according to the Chinese sources. Mu or Wudi corresponds to Āmul and Unahe to Karkōh. It is appended by the edition of fragmented Sogdian inscription from Köshk Zohra-Tahir on the Amu-Darya river.
