This paper presents a classification of ceramic lids of the late 8th — early 13th century found in Panjakent and its surroundings. The examples considered include 71 items, many of which can be reconstructed. In terms of their shape, the author divides them into 10 groups. The lids were used mainly for cauldrons, as well as for jugs with a narrow neck, pots, “khumcha” storage pots and braziers.
