The paper deals with two fragmented Athenian red-figure bell-kraters. The first one was exca- vated in Chersoneses in 1903, the second one was found in Panticapaion in 1867–1868. Both kraters are decorated with a rare kind of Grypomachy: Amazons and bearded barbarians are fighting together against Gryffins. Another rare subject in Athenian and South Italian vase-painting is the depiction of Amazons, helping Bellerophont to fight Chimera. The aim of the paper is in interpretation of these subjects.
