This research was conducted by seeing language disorder in child with hydrocephalus, whose subjects were hydrocephalus sufferers from birth. Using qualitative methods, as well as data collection techniques through observation, literature review, and interviews, this study seeks to identify the causes of language disorders experienced by VC (respondent). The results showed a cognitive effect due to hydrocephalus conditions, and imperfect use of articulatory tools in speech, which caused the inability of VC to pronounce the phonemes / s /, / r /, / l /, and / z /. Another influence that also causes language disorders is the passivity of social interactions due to limited interaction between respondents and peers in the neighborhood where he live.
