The article deals with the material of Polish and Ukrainian languages, where is investigated the specificity of the use and functioning of synonymous phraseological units that differinthes hade of values, have a stylistic coloror are identicalint worelated languages. The context enhances the expressiveness of phraseologisms-synonyms, allowing to choose one meaning, depending on the connectivity.
