By the method of x-ray phase analysis it was found that when spark- dispersing the Ti-VyMozelectrode pair in a carbon-containing liquid medium, a condition is created for the synthesis of a solid solution of cubic carbides of titanium, vanadium and molybdenum. The metal content in the composition of the solid solution (TiхVуМоz)C depends on the ratio of metals in the VyMozalloy and the nature of the liquid medium.
