Purpose. The article consideration of strategic planning as one of the regulatory mechanisms for the development of entrepreneurial activity in the agricultural sector of the economy. Approach. Study of strategic planning as one of the regulatory mechanisms for the development of entrepreneurial activity in the agricultural sector. Results. The necessity and content of strategic planning in modern conditions are revealed; revealed that strategic planning has a systemic nature of agricultural production based on the coordination of the interests of all its subjects and mechanisms for implementing the production strategy, which will ensure their effective functioning in different natural and economic conditions. Changes in economic relations in the agricultural sector of the country have led to the emergence of such phenomena and processes, which, in turn, puts the operating activities of agricultural enterprises in front of different types of risks — a prerequisite for any effective economic management. Therefore, the problem of strategic planning activities of an individual enterprise or certain types of economic activities, taking into account the risks occupies an important place in economic theory and practice. In Ukrainian conditions, when market relations are developing, the formation of market infrastructure has not yet reached the appropriate level, it is important to find ways to reduce risk, assess the effectiveness of certain means of protection against it, as well as improve risk-based management strategies. problems for agricultural enterprises. The lack of a scientifically sound strategy for the development of the industry at all levels of government makes it impossible to overcome the crisis and lay the foundation for the advanced development of the agricultural sector of the economy. Insufficient elaboration of these issues led to the choice of topic, setting goals and objectives of the study, determined its content and structure.
