The article analyzes the problem of organizing motor activity of students of higher education institutions. It is emphasized that the motor activity of student youth is considered an integral part of life. The level of motor activity of students of higher education institutions is investigated. The problem of research and evaluation of physical activity is still relevant, as physical activity is one of the main factors determining the health and physical condition of the population. Due to the imbalance between food consumption, physical activity and human rest, special attention needs to be paid to the rational organization of physical activity. A special role in this problem is played by the organization of the motor mode of students of pedagogical specialties, whose training is associated with low motor activity. Chronic deficiency of motor activity in the regime of student youth becomes a real threat to their health and normal physical performance. Due to the constant scientific and technical development of society, there is a lack of physical activity in students of higher education, which in most cases is the cause of various diseases.
