The paper deals with the genre peculiarities of V. Brusov’s poetry. According to the paper’s author, «Urbi et Orbi» indicates the poet’s search for new poetic forms and new topics. The author concludes that a cycle «Songs» is stylized as people’s songs, which enabled V. Brusov to enlarge the book’s genre spectrum
