The paper deals with romances, songs and an opera created by prominent representatives of Russian Silver Age music for poems, a novel and translations by V. Brusov. The information concerning the composers and the works by the poet is provided. The author concludes that cultural fusion is typical for the late XIX-early XX century, the epoch of «new culture», based on synthesis and syncretism. Music, poetry, art went hand in hand, to brighten up the world of fiction with vivid colors.
