The purpose of this paper is to determine the Spanish concept of the world in the artistic perception of K. Balmont by the method of analysis of poetic works with Spanish themes in the creative heritage of the poet. The variety of the «Spanish» themes, motifs, and characters in K. Balmont’s poetic heritage proves that Spain was seen by the poet not only as historical or geographical scenery, against which the poet represented his own work; К. Balmont recreated the past of Spain, delved into the essence of the Spanish character, appealed to the masters of art and literature, which led to the endless transformation of the К. Balmont’s lyrical hero. «Spanish» themes, motifs, characters have served as a source for his critical articles and essays with Spanish themes, complementing the «Spanish» concept of the world in his literary heritage.
