The paper reveals the creative perception of flight and speed at the beginning of a new era in the history of humanity – the era of aviation – as reflected in the works by Russian and French modernists, the most remarkable of whom is V. Brusov, in his poetry and drama, and M. Proust, in his epic «In Search of Lost Time».
