The paper provides a semantic classification of tenors and vehicles of personifying tropes by V. Brusov. The author analyzes the ways of renewing the traditional tropes by the poet and emphasizes the relevance of personification in V. Brusov’s poetry with semantic dominants of his typical idiostyle.
