One of the main Brusovs’ themes, passion, is dealt with in this article, the originality of which in the poetry of Brusov is described in its ontological aspects as opposed to the divine and demonic. Passion in Brusovs’ poetry appears in the imagery of the biblical context as “the way to Damascus” and as the gift of Lucifer, as a result of overcoming the secular and entering the spiritual domain without reaching a stable religious position.
