The article examines the features of the spread of coronavirus during the second «wave» of the COVID-19 pandemic in the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, including the specific impact of the pandemic on the economy and social sphere, on population mobility and the labor market. Shows the role of health care systems and vaccination of the population in containing the spread of the virus in this region. Discusses the prospects for the recovery of the economies of the monarchies of the Persian Gulf from the crisis caused by COVID-19.
