The article deals with the results of a study, which aim was to ascertain the end of life and life expectations as seen by the Russian children of age 6-8 years. The author argues that this aspect is very important since its availability signals the correct development of children’s personality. The target group consisted of 128 children selected from pre-schools and schools of Kazan (Tatarstan) and Moscow. The study has shown various stages of the diachronic development of the end of life concept as seen by the children.
