. Two cases of gastroschisis were diagnosed antena‐tally following maternal serum AFP screening in mid‐trimester of the pregnancy, using ultrasonography, amnio‐graphy and amniocentesis. The AFP screening program detected 4 congenital malformations but missed 4 malformations due to false negative AFP serum values.
