. Two hundred and ten minutes of CTG from five different deliveries were described by a computer program and by four obstetricians independently of each other. The program automatically recognized and measured the variables in the CTG. Compared to the obstetricians' average measurements only minor differences were found. It is concluded that the computer program describes the CTG in almost the same way as the obstetricians, with the advantage of automated quantification and treatment of large amounts of data.
