. The T‐cell marker of spontaneous rosettes with sheep erythrocytes was determined in 34 normal termdeliveries on the peripheral lymphocytes of the mother and the corresponding cord‐blood lymphocytes of the newborn, immediately after delivery. A consistently lower level of E‐rosette forming lymphocytes was observed in male as compared to female newborns in different parity groups and in twin deliveries. When the mean values were calculated for corresponding E‐rosettes of maternal and newborn lymphocytes in each group (female and male group of offsprings) they were nearly identical.
