. A case is reported of fetal paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia detected during fetal distress. The trans‐vaginal technique was used for the electrocardiographic recording. Fetal distress was demonstrated by measuring fetal blood pH taken from the scalp and umbilical cord. During a 2‐hour recording, before caesarean section was performed, paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia of 300 b/min and atrial fibrillation were observed. The ECG of the infant was completely normal 8 hours after birth.
