. Hyperlipoproteinemia is a condition characterized by increase lipid content of the blood. It may occur as a primary familial disease or as secondary to various clinical conditions such as seen in systemic lupus, alcoholism and liver disease. Of the primary forms of hyperlipoproteinemia, Type I is the least common and to our knowledge this condition has not been previously reported in pregnancy. The present report deals with Type I Hyperlipoproteinemia in a 32 weeks pregnant patient, confirmed by electrophoresis study.
