The article examines the essence of vocational guidance, substantiates the main trends in vocational guidance work in the modern world. Particular attention is paid to the use of information and communication technologies in career guidance work. The necessity of forming career management skills is shown. The aspect of involving parents in vocational guidance and career choice has been studied. The mechanisms of cooperation and coordination in career guidance activities are revealed.
