The article discusses approaches to understanding the phenomenon of insult, as well as resentment as a tendency to experience hard feelings from the point of view of various psychological schools, and also it makes an assumption about the connection between resentment and an insufficient level of personal maturity. The authors describe the manifestations of personal immaturity in the experience of resentment at the cognitive, affective and behavioral levels and outline the prospects for their research in theoretical and practical aspects
