Deleuze proposed three types of philosophers: philosophers of depth, philosophers of height, and philosophers of surface. The authors of the article believe that three types of cognitive practices correspond to the three images of philosophers. A Pleologus arises as a consequence of the use of these practices. The authors further apply the Pleologus of cognitive practices to the philosophical analysis of the world's oceans, which allows us to take a new look at the significance of the ocean and water in the origin of life.
