The article considers the food traditions of the Evens of the Okhotsk region of the Khabarovsk Territory, which are contributing to their adaptation in the conditions of a nomadic lifestyle and northern climate. Not only published data are used, but mainly the author’s field materials collected during scientific expeditions in the places of local resettlement of Evens – in the villages of Arka and Inya – as well as at the reindeer herding centers of Ketanda, Nadbagy, Uschan and others.
