A novel green approach for the synthesis andstabilization of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) using waterextract of Rhynchostylisretusa(L.) Blume leaf has beendeveloped. As obtained, the nanoparticles are characterized byUV-visible (UV-Vis), FTIR, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and SEManalysis. The crystalline nature of the AgNPs is confirmed bythe prominent peaks in the XRD pattern. FTIR spectra suggestthat the possible biomolecules are responsible for the efficientstabilization of the sample. The prepared nanoparticle showsgood antioxidant activity.
