Trichinosis in the Russian Federation is quite widespread and is registered almost everywhere. However, in a number of regions, human and animal diseases are most frequently observed. In the system of veterinary and sanitary measures for trichinosis, the leading place is taken by trichinelloscopic control of animal carcasses and meat products. The article provides data on the regional distribution of invasion in the Russian Federation, and sources and factors of invasion transmission. The main categories of the population that fall into the risk group for trichinosis are indicated. Attention is focused on the role of personal protective equipment against this invasion, portable and diagnostic effective devices for field trichinelloscopy. The technological effectiveness of assembly, transportation, and the possibility of their use for the examination of small batches of carcasses, as well as animals that were hunted, was noted. An examination technique for trichinosis using a TP-1,2 device is given. In general, a device of the type TP-1,2 complements the existing range of devices used in trichinelloscopic control, based on the method for digesting muscle tissue in artificial gastric juice and compressor trichinelloscopy.
