The investigation results of the impact of preliminary deep wave deformation strengthening and further thermal and chemical-thermal treatment for steel hardness are presented. The presence of favorable technological inheritance of material properties formed at the stage wave deformation strengthening is defined. It is revealed that SPD+TP combined strengthening ensures steel hardness increase by 5… 20% in comparison with thermal strengthening.
