In connection with the need of the estimate of the MES-system introduction effectiveness a coefficient of return on investment (ROI) is offered for use. On the basis of investigation results its estimate is to be carried out both at the stage of pre-design inspection, and at the stage of pilot-project operation. Notwithstanding a clear formula existence for the ROI estimate one uses mostly its modifications taking into account the specificity of an enterprise or a system introduced the development of a customized calculator or a ready solution.
