Catastrophic floods in r. Dniester led to the creation of the Dniester engineering and ecological flood polygon-model sites in the Dniester within the Galician and Tysmenytsia areas centered on the village Mariyampil Galician region. Based on comprehensive studies of the Dniester area flood polygon possible to develop effective measures to prevent and reduce the negative effects of catastrophic floods and improve environmental security in the region.
