The structure of soils in Carpathian region of Ukraine, which is involved for agricultural land use, including for arable land, has been analyzed. The basic steps to increase the area of arable land have been described. Integrated approach with using spatial, legal, environmental, and economic performance has been proposed for definition of the efficiency of agricultural land use.
