The demographic situation was described in Lviv city and districts as of January 1, 2011. Trends of fertility, mortality, natural increase, marriages and divorces were analyzed from the second half of the twentieth century. Demographic trends were substantiated and were showed their impact on the demographic structures. Comparison of demographic factors between Lviv and average in district, average Ukrainian and (in some cases) Kyiv was made.
