Main features of the recreational potential of the mountain villages in the Lviv region are described in the paper. They are given correspondingly to the nature potential of the territory, ecological conditions, social and economical development, cultural and historical characteristics. Valuable villages with the high level of recreational potential are described. Key words: recreational potential, mountain areas, estimation.
