Minimally invasive surgical approach for abdominal wall reconstruction. A new era in treatment of complex abdominal wall hernias

This paper aims to familiarize the general medical community with a history of the evolution and the wide range of new mini-invasive methods of surgical treatment for abdominal wall hernias. The indications, advantages, disadvantages, and possible prospects for the future will be discussed.
