To verify the results of scientific research as well as the characteristics of new and upgraded aerial vehicle onboard equipment in the Air Force Scientific Center (AFSC) the universal test platform (UTP) based on unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) A-4C “Albatross” was developed. It is shown how the payload control system developed by the AFSC specialists ensures the interaction of the ground control station (GCS) and the onboard control system with the equipment under test (EUT). The article considers the tasks to be solved by the UTP, the main technical requirements for the UTP, the features of the technical implementation of the UTP and the stages of its flight tests.
